In Woods Cross
Your Voice Matters
Your voice matters. My goal is to listen and together we can create meaningful solutions that benefit our community. We need to be proactive to beautify our city, and create a safe, family-friendly city. With my experience on your side we will be proud to call Woods Cross “home” for years to come.
Why are you running for city council?
Across the state I’ve seen cities react to population growth with both good and bad policy. It is important to me that we create effective ordinances so that we can attract businesses and be proud of today’s development decades from now. Woods Cross can maintain neighborhood character and simultaneously prepare for the future.
A growing population, proximity to Salt Lake and small-town feel make Woods Cross an amazing place to be. I will collaborate with other city leaders to guide economic and community development in order to improve our quality of life and protect future interests.
We need to demonstrate a strong sense of stewardship for our city by making our gateways and corridors clean and attractive. I will advocate for beautification so that those who move in (either business or families) feel pride in calling Woods Cross home.
Infrastructure and Safe Streets
It’s important to ensure that we intentionally plan to keep our infrastructure well-maintained and able to accommodate the pressures of growth and always keep the safety of our citizens in mind.
“I have worked with Jessica as a member of the Woods Cross Planning Commission. She is conscientious and concerned about our community. She thoughtfully considers all issues that come before the Commission. She analyzes them in the context of current policy, legal significance, effect on Woods Cross, and desire of the community. She consistently makes sound decisions and I respect her judgment. She will make an excellent Council Member and Woods Cross will benefit from her knowledge, experience, diligence, and overall character.”
